Мета:  - систематизувати знання по темі «Спорт»,
               - закріпити ЛО теми,
               - практикувати учнів у читанні тексту з метою отримання максимально повного й точного розуміння всієї інформації, що в ньому міститься;
               - розвивати навички аудіювання та читання,
               - розвивати  вміння працювати в групі;
               - виховувати любов до спорту, здорового способу життя,        усвідомлення важливості занять спортом.
 
Обладнання: книги, зошити, картки, комп’ютер,наочність, презентація.
 
Тип уроку: урок узагальнення та систематизації вивченого.

GAME «What kind of sport is it?»
 
  1. It is a game. Both men and women can play it. The players have a ball. They play the ball with their hands. There are 6 players in every team.
  2. It is the most popular game in England and in our country. Both men and women can play it now. It has 2 halves. The players kick the ball and run after it. There is a referee on the pitch. He blows a whistle from time to time. The players try to score a goal.
  3. It is one of the most popular games in the world. It was first played in Canada. It is a team game. It is a winter game. Only men and boys can play it. Many people like watching the game on TV. The players don’t run on the field. They skate. They have sticks in their hands.
  4. It is a very beautiful kind of sports. It gives the sportsmen strength, rhythm and grace. The sportsmen do some exercises or dance to the music. The sportsmen have beautiful costumes on.
  5. This game is played everywhere in our country: at schools, universities and sports clubs. It was first played in the USA. The team has 5 players. They bounce the ball on the floor up and down with one hand. They try to throw the ball into the basket.

P3: I go jogging two times a week. It’s wonderful to get up early in the morning when the air is fresh l am high spirits, my soul is singing.
P4: We can’t live without sport. People who don’t go in for sports often fall ill. They have weak health. People who go in for sports are strong, healthy and look young.

                                         Sport in England
 
   Sports and games have always been popular in England. The English are great lovers of sports and when they are neither playing nor watching games, they like to talk about them. Almost all the young Englishmen go in for some kind of sports. Every college has athletic and football clubs. Many people come to watch major sporting competitions, they are discussed as greatest evens of the day.
   England is the birthplace of many modern kinds of sports. This is why many games that are popular all over the world have English names: football, tennis, boxing and badminton rules were invented in England.
   Basketball and volleyball come from United States of America.
   In England, many traditional sporting competitions take place at approximately the same time every year.
   The most important among them are boat races, horse-races, car rallies, football and cricket games. These sporting events usually have greatest audiences.
   Since England is an island country, water sports are well developed there. England was the first to hold sports swimming competitions. The English invented some new styles of swimming that bear English names now. Many English sportsmen became world champions in swimming.

III.Заключна частина уроку.
  1. Summarising
T: In our today’s lesson we’ve revised the vocabulary on the topic “Sport”. You’ve also got some new information about sports in Great Britain and other countries. I believe, all of you have realised that people go in for sports not only because it is a great fun. First of all, physical exercises are necessary to keep fit, be healthy and strong.
    (It’s better to ask your pupils first what they have done in the lesson. Pupils report their ideas, then teacher adds what they have missed.)
  1. Homework

    As part of your homework imagine you are going to interview your favorite sportsperson. Write 10 questions you want to ask him/her.
